Before joining with Gipping Press Ltd in 2014, Swaingrove had specialised in high quality reprographics and reproductions of original artwork. As a result we have vast years of experience in scanning, joining and colour management of reproducing original artworks. When this is combined with the excellent level of equipment then we have a fantastic reputation for quality reproductions; so much so that many print companies within East Anglia send the original artwork to us to be scanned and reproduced!
What this all means is that if you require a very high quality and accurate reproduction of an existing artwork then you need look no further than Gipping Press.
We also have lots of experience of handling fragile and very old original artworks and will treat every original with the utmost respect and caution that they all deserve
Giclee Printing is a specialist print process used for working on fine line and water colour artworks.
Giclée (“g-clay”), from the French verb gicler meaning “to spray”, is a fine art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high quality quality paper to achieve an inkjet print of superior quality, light fastness and stability. This is the best method of reproduction with faithful colour rendering when compared to the original and this system is regularly used by artists and photographers.
Giclee Printing is primarily used in the reproduction of original drawings and paintings and allows greater control and quality on fine detail.
It is a premium printing process normally only used for reproducing a few copies of original artworks to be framed and sold on.
To compliment the Giclee Printing we also have high quality scanning equipment in-house and staff trained in the re-touching and colour management of scans when reproducing artwork. All of this means that you can entirely trust us to handle you artwork with care and ensure that your prints come back matching the originals provided.
We often have comments that the artists struggle to tell which is the original!

With our beautiful coastline, sedate estuaries, gentle rolling countryside, pretty towns and villages and tranquil rivers it is no surprise this county remains the inspiration for so many artists, photographers and authors.
